Grimsdell Mill Hill Pre-Prep

Our School Values

These four school values summarise the Grimsdell Way. This is one of the key features of our School and encourages all our pupils to behave in a kind and respectful way towards others and to have self-respect.

1. Kindness

At Grimsdell, we inspire our pupils to be considerate and helpful in every aspect of life. We encourage them to embody compassion, understanding, and warmth towards everyone in our community and beyond. We nurture a culture of kindness that empowers students to make a positive impact on those around them. Together, we can create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

2. Honesty

Pupils are encouraged to express their opinions openly and maintain strong communication with both peers and teachers. We want our pupils to grow into fair and reliable children who celebrate each other’s joys while also recognising the strength found in sharing worries. By fostering this openness, we create a supportive environment where every voice is heard and valued, helping our students grow in confidence and resilience together.

3. Sharing

Happiness flourishes when we share with others. At Grimsdell, our pupils embrace the joy of inviting others to join in on their activities, fostering a spirit of togetherness. We encourage a selfless attitude, always striving to include everyone in our community. By celebrating inclusivity, we create an environment where every individual feels welcomed and valued, reinforcing the bonds that make our school a warm and supportive place for all.

4. Respect

At Grimsdell, pupils are encouraged to treat others as they wish to be treated. They practice active listening, ensuring everyone has a chance to speak and be heard. By showing consideration and thoughtfulness, our pupils create a respectful and supportive environment. This commitment fosters strong relationships and helps everyone feel valued, reinforcing the importance of empathy and mutual respect in our school community.

Our Group Aims

As part of the Mill Hill Education Group, our values are underpinned by our Group Motto; instilling values, inspiring minds (‘et virtutem, et musas') and our vision is to ensure that all our pupils are equipped to thrive in life, now and in the future.
