Science Week
Science Week has been full of curiosity, excitement and plenty of fizz!
Mrs Trusha Patel brought the topic of gases and reactions to life with a brilliant outdoor lesson. Using water and baking soda tablets, pupils headed out to the playground to create and launch their very own rockets. There were cheers with every launch as rockets flew higher and higher, and pupils encouraged each other to see whose would go the furthest.
Along the way, Mrs Patel shared an important scientific idea, that repeating an experiment doesn’t always give the same result. By changing how much water they used, pupils saw first hand how the outcome could be different each time, sparking lots of questions and excitement.
It was a great reminder that learning happens everywhere at Grimsdell, whether in the classroom or out on the playground.
