Our New Theme: Space
This week, our pupils were intrigued by reports of a “big bang” and some very strange noises heard in the playground that Mr Dobson heard overnight. After a careful investigation, they uncovered some surprising clues:
- The playground door was left open
- Party litter scattered across the playground, including chocolate wrappers, crisp packets, candles and party poppers
- A crashed rocket discovered by the big tree
- Reports of strange noises, including some very convincing alien sounds made by Ezra A (Eagles), which may have been answered!
Miss Oechler and Mrs Hurst carefully put on their protective equipment to collect samples, which have now been sent to the Science Observatory. We’ll also be speaking to NASA about what we found. Next, the children will be thinking of their own questions and using their inference skills to help solve this exciting mystery.
Our pupils are on the case!
