Our New Maths Curriculum

Since September, Grimsdell has introduced an exciting new Maths scheme called White Rose, which is now in place from Nursery through to Year 2. This approach ensures that pupils build on a strong foundation each year, creating a seamless progression in their mathematical learning.

The White Rose Maths scheme is designed to support a mastery approach to teaching and learning, fully aligned with the aims and objectives of the National Curriculum. Its focus is on helping children develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, equipping them with the skills and confidence to become capable, enthusiastic mathematicians.

Beyond individual achievement, the scheme also encourages collaboration, with pupils working together and supporting one another in their learning journey. By fostering both knowledge and teamwork, White Rose helps create a positive and engaging environment for mathematical growth.
