We were excited to sit down with Ms Patel, the School Administrator and Admissions Assistant at Grimsdell, to learn more about her and her role.

How long have you worked at the school?

I have just completed 10 years at Grimsdell and it's been an incredible journey. I started as a teaching assistant and have taken on a new role as the School Administrator and Admissions Assistant for the last 6 months.

What does your role involve?

I am based in the school office and support the day-to-day running of the school. I love the variety of responsibilities I have as each day is different!

What is your favourite thing about the school?

I love seeing the children smile as they arrive to school each day and count myself lucky to be surrounded by the amazing grounds of Mill Hill. Here at Grimsdell, colleagues don't just become your friends, they become part of your Grimsdell family.

What advice would you give to our pupils to help them get the most out of their time here?

Have a go, embrace the moment, don't give up and enjoy the journey.

What is your favourite book and film for our pupils, and why?

My favourite book is The Invisible Boy by Trudy Ludwig. The story captures the experience of feeling invisible and the importance of inclusion.

This heartwarming book helps children to understand empathy. It emphasizes how a small act of kindness, like inviting someone to play, can make a big difference in someone’s life.

You are your one superpower, so whatever you want to be, be it. If you believe in yourself, you can achieve anything!

Can you tell us something interesting that we might not know about you?

I have played netball for many years and am a qualified Netball Coach! In addition to this, I practice yoga and play badminton on a weekly basis!
