This week our pupils took part in Just One Tree Day, donating £1 and wearing non-school uniform to help make a difference for our planet.

Our Reception pupils explored the concepts of rough and smooth through hands-on experiences in nature. After learning about textures during maths, we headed outside to see what we could find, from, rough pinecones to smooth rocks and leaves.

It was wonderful to see our pupils connecting their classroom learning with the natural world around them.

We’re so proud to have been awarded Planet Hero Status by @just_one_tree as one of their elite schools, recognising our ongoing commitment to supporting reforestation and teaching our children the importance of protecting the environment.

We are excited to announce that we collected £239 thus planting 293 tree. Our Grimsdell forest, planted in an area severely affected by mass deforestation, now stands at a staggering 1588 trees!
