Grimsdell Awarded Eco-Schools Green Flag Award With Distinction

We are incredibly proud of the renewal of our Eco-Schools Green Flag Award, which we were delighted to achieve with Distinction. The Eco-Schools assessors particularly praised the significant increase in environmental engagement across our entire school community, including pupils, staff and families. They highlighted the growth in pupils' understanding of environmental issues and their ability to recognise how everyday choices can create positive change.

The assessors also commended several key initiatives, including our marine conservation projects and our successful partnership with local recycling company WasteStream. Working together with families and staff, pupils played an active role in improving recycling outcomes while developing a strong sense of ownership and enthusiasm for environmental action.
The success of our environmental programme is driven by the dedication of staff and pupils alike. Through a culture of curiosity, responsibility and hands-on learning, Grimsdell continues to inspire young learners to value, respect and protect the environment, ensuring sustainability becomes a natural part of their everyday lives.
