Visit from Author Sita Brahmachari

We were delighted to welcome acclaimed author Sita Brahmachari and illustrator Jane Ray to school for a special workshop with our Reception to Year 2 pupils, in collaboration with The Children's Bookshop, Muswell Hill.

The visit centred around The Tale That Time Sews, Sita and Jane's beautiful new picture book, which explores themes of belonging, memory, family and connection through a rich and engaging story.

During the session, Sita and Jane shared insights into the journey of bringing a book to life, from the first spark of an idea through to the creative process of writing and illustration.

The children were captivated as they explored the story's themes and discovered how words and artwork work together to create a picture book. Through discussion, storytelling and creative activities, pupils were encouraged to reflect on their own memories, experiences and imaginations, inspiring thoughtful conversations and plenty of creativity.
